How all the major religions were created upon a bedrock of lies. Christianity: Two Popes admitted that Christ was a fable. Moses was based upon the life and legends of Sargon the Great. Moses never existed, and there is no evidence in Egypt of 600,000 men, women, and children escaping Pharaoh. Mormonism: The founder, Joseph Smith, was convicted in a court of law as an impostor (con man) in 1826.

God commanded the Israelites to bring a tithe to His storehouse. So, He may have food for the poor, the needy, the fatherless, the widows, but He had the time of His life getting the Israelites to obey Him. They just would not comply. Today, the believers have not been commanded to tithe, yet it appears they would stop at nothing to take a tithe to their church. Go figure!

In parallel with his Johannine studies Michael undertook a study of the 3 Synoptic Gospels. Together these twin studies show that the essential core of our 4 gospels is the work of eyewitnesses to Jesus’ ministry. They also shed light upon the development of the Christian Fellowship in the pre Pauline era and the trauma of the Jewish revolt against Roman tyranny.

God’s grace isn’t cheap. Actually, it’s completely free. But the Bible's wonderfully freeing message is easily lost if we mix the Old and New Testaments without understanding their context. I came up with the equation 153 times y minus 6 to explain the 1365 shekels that the firstborn sons of Israel paid in Numbers 3. They would have been owed 135 shekels except the population of the Levite's census is rounded which forced the firstborn sons to pay. Expanding the equation lead to finding the Hebrew Tau (its T only lower case) with 888 (the gematria of Jesus name) as its center.

The latest New Testament research reveals that for the Gospels to pretend to be something other than they are is integral to them. They are like the texts in Magic Realism. As explained in The Gospels feign Classical Histories, the Gospels are more. The Evangelists extend the mode of Magic Realism to the content of the text and to the structure of multiple genres they use for their works.
