The year 1968 was both good and bad for me. After finding out that my vision was under-standard to fly high as a US Navy pilot, I joined the US Army as a photo journalist. Vietnam was waiting at the end of my training period. I have made good friends in the military...and after Nam was luckily assigned to Germany where I met with more fine associates and citizens.
