A worthy bittersweet end. I find interesting how the story is slowly evolving from à fight between good and evil towards a greyer conflict. The antagonists are no longer as evil as the ones we previously had, and I like it. Spinward Fringe took a very interesting turn, though I wish things went better for Jacob.

The only thing I regret is the lack of digging into the mind of the characters. We don't get to see their evolution in enough detail, but I know the Spinward series was written in a more action-centered storyline and I don't blame you for that.

Good work, as always.

Once again a captivating storyline is let down by poor writing / editing. The version I downloaded & read (and I see now there is a new release) is filled with errors, (continuity, naming, grammar), which detracts from the reading experience and was not ready for release.
One would think after 9 books with the same problem there would either be an improvement in writing or in editing before release.

another great book in a great series. I love the grey morality of the main characters and the large scale of the spinward fringe universe

I would echo most readers accolades for the book as I enjoy the Spinword Fringe series, however the ending is unsatisfying , dark, and unlike the endings of the other books. The ending also ignores the future vision that Ayne saw through the future time wormhole machine, which I also found inconsistant with previous story lines. I also do not understand the almost one year delay in finishing this book and am moving on to other more prolific authors in frustration. At 72 I don,t have enough years left to wait for Lalonde to decide what he is trying to accomplish when he grows up!!!

Still reading but can already say this is as good as, if not better than all previous books in this series. Well worth the wait. Might be difficult to read if you haven't read the other books so I suggest you read "origins" get hooked and by the end of this one you'll be waiting for the next.

The year I waited after devouring the last broadcast was totally worth it. Now to wait for broadcast 8.
