Two Cats and a Chicken Shop Mystery is a funny mystery novel based on true events. It puts the genre of arcane thrillers in a humoristic new scenery. The action kicks off in a chicken shop in Madrid where Consuelo finds herself confronted with a face that suddenly appeared on the floor. Her quest to reveal the truth leads her to one of the most extraordinary mysteries in Spanish history!

Nice use of humor, mystery and history. If you have lived in or spent time in Madrid you will enjoy this story.

A short mystery novel that would have profited by being a whole lot shorter. Plus it's weird.

Not too bad on a minor aspect of history, though.

This is a very unusual book following the adventures of Consuelo, a determined and intrepid middle-aged Spanish lady who works in a market in Madrid. The storyline has elements of Dan Brown, delving into mysterious aspects of the history of Spain, but I preferred it to his books - it has what his books don't have - a wry sense of humour, realistically observed characters and an unusual minute-by-minute diary style.
This is a very original and compelling story - I was truly impressed!

it's hard for me to describe this book because in the beginning it started out boring to me. but after reviewing the extra content it kind of made sense. i found it scandalous after revealing the true intents of some protagonists which were kept in the dark by the author for a long time. in the end i liked it a lot!

What an amazing story! C.R. Martínez did a great job in history research and wrote a fascinating novel with a good sense of humour. After reading the book the author gives the great opportunity to find out more bizarre facts and see images on www.twocatsandachickenshopmystery.com which I found indeed interesting.
Hope to read more from C.R. Martínez soon!
