Reviews of Encrypted by Lindsay Buroker

Good book with a well thought out story line. Cryptography was a really cool way to make Tikaya unique. She was a fun character who was strong yet vulnerable at the same time. Great combination.
It was a bit predictable throughout it - but maybe that is just me as I'm always trying to figure out plots as I read. :-) It is a rather long book and the last third I had to kind of drag myself through and had it pretty much figured out before the ending.
I enjoyed Ms. Buroker's style of writing.

Crypto Analysis, Adventure, Action, and a Little Romance

This book was a fun read although at times it was predictable. I enjoyed the characters and the writing of this author and the story kept me moving along. I don't read a lot of sci fi or fantasy but found those aspects of this book enjoyable. It is a fairly long book with tangled plots within plots that offers the reader a fun visual experience with a number of colorful and well-developed characters and places. The romance was a bit lacking and predictable but overall this was a great read. CS

I don't normally read romance novels so it surprised me that I enjoyed this as much as I did. The ending was a little predictable, but this was still a good read

Was an okay read. I found it predictable for some reason and it seemed to drag the last quarter, but maybe that's because I felt like I knew where it was going and some of the reveals were obvious. The romance is one of those where a great deal of angst could have been cleared up by just a single conversation, but that part was dragged on. Good book.

Adventure, danger, romance, Encrypted has it all in a tightly woven tale. The opening of this story did not draw me in. I initially stopped reading after the prologue, with no intention to continue. A few weeks later I ran across Encrypted on my Kindle. I couldn't remember what I didn't like about it and decided to read the first chapter. I couldn't put it down after that. Nice job Lindsay Buroker!

I have to wonder if the author was inspired by Edgar Rice Burroughs and Robert E. Howard? Seems their influences are sprinkled throughout the story.

If you enjoy well written romantic fantasy adventure, give this one a try.

A readable combination of romance and fantasy with some of the feel of Indiana Jones.

A science fiction adverture story with some romance. I expected more more romance, but it turned out to be great book.

"Encrypted" is one stunning tale.

Lovely intro of a cryptography genius -even including some crypto slang- breaking enemy crypto messages at wartime.
Continuing with an abduction and prison break, pirate style ship-to-ship fighting action (with cannon balls),
and culminating in a "Stargate-like" exploration of ancient alien ruins, which don't seem as abandoned as one should think!

Truly a lovely composition.

This book is a sci-fi adventure with a little bit of romance mixed in. I thought is was romance, but wasn't. My bad. Otherwise it was a good read.
