This book is awesome!!! I still can't get enough of Damien. I love everything about the book, from the beginning until the end. I love Sam's character, it fits perfectly with Damien’s. I loved it when they argued, agreed, fought and adored each other. I was happy that Damien finally let go of Beth’s memories. He deserves to be happy with no less than the mighty “ Sam Harper” LOL. Applause to Nicky for having written an amazing and brilliant book!

So where do I start? I laughed out loud, I cried out loud. This book, by far, was my favorite from the Lycan Series.
I got back into reading a couple of years ago. A friend told me "You should read this book about Lycans." WTH is a Lycan? I soon found out. Ms Charles has captivated me from the very beginning. Her first book, The Mating, had me wanting more. Since then I have (im)patiently waited for each one to come out. Ms. Charles has a way of making you feel each character, each feeling, each emotion. I highly recommend her Law of the Lycan series. It will leave you wanting more. I can't wait for the next book.

Read this book in one day!! Have been waiting for it to be published since last year.
In this new book we see how the characters from the Lycan Law series are both maturing and changing. Loved it cannot wait for more books, hope it is not too long a wait!!

I am a fan of Nicky Charles and there isn't a thing I wouldn't read by her. I impatiently waited for this book! I fell in love with Damien when we first met him and my heart was in pieces for all he has had to go through, he so deserves a happily ever after, but only with me. *sigh* Since we can not be together, Sam is a perfect fit for him. This story is filled with mystery, suspense, and humor, I love Sam! She is a kick butt kind of woman, I admire that quality. She loves her pack and will do what it takes to make sure they thrive. I won't say anymore, but this, we get to take a peek into some of the other characters from previous books and see how things are with them. I just love this book! Go grab yourself and copy, settle in to read a wonderful story, you will not be able to put it down until the Fin

Just when we think its safe to step away from 'The Law of the Lycans' Nicky Charles brings us all back with this amazing book.

The story of Damien Masterson is cunning, smart and heart wrenching. We all know how the death of this mate sent him to the brink of sanity, we all know how it was those he called family that kept him hanging on. But now he hides behind the whole 'rogue' mystique and on the brink once again.

Nicky uses our love for her former hero's like Kane and Elise Sinclair and Reno Smith to build believable scenarios to help Damien regain something of a 'normal' life. She also updates us all on our favourite characters as they are entwined within the storyline.

New characters such as Sam Harper and the Chicago pack, Dante and the mysterious Mr Stone keep us all captivated to the last word.

Unexpected sub plots will have you saying 'I never saw that coming.' And in some cases will raise your anger to boiling point. A box of tissues is required too as you witness a heartbreaking good-bye.

This book is a must for any woman needing a 'girl power' fix. Sam Harper is strong, determined, confident in who she is and the role she has. She's also sexy and cocky and has Damien reeling with confusion as he still grieves for his lost mate. With the back streets of Chicago being the setting, it's a perfect mix for their story.

A very easy five stars, you will not be disappointed. It is time and money well spent. It is a story you can read over and over again and along with the other five (The Mating, The Keeping, The finding, Bonded, Betrayed, days of the rogue) they make a great collection for any reading device......
