Reviews of The Witch's Ladder (Book 1) by Dana E. Donovan

Christa Lloyd reviewed on April 4, 2021

This densely written novel is told from the perspective of an open minded detective who becomes so enamoured as to decide to take on a crusade against evil being done by those with supernatural abilities. It is interesting how the concept of the witch’s ladder is presented to his colleagues leading to their acceptance of a concept alien to them. Some unnecessary repetition regarding supernatural concepts, okay got it, don’t need telling again. Layout could be improved.

The was great, though getting to work at 11:30 AM because I couldn't stop reading it isn't the smartest thing I've ever done. Just downloaded the 2nd book and will recommend it to others.

I almost didn't select this book to read on my nook because it was free. It was well worth it and I recommend it. I couldn't put it down. Now back to my nook to get another one to read!

I loved this book. I can't believe it was free. Better still is book two in this series, which was also free at the time of this review. I read both in one weekend. This author is definately one to watch. 5 stars and highly recommended!
