Price: $3.99 USD. Words: 4,100. Language: English. Published: August 25, 2015. Categories: Nonfiction » Transportation » Aviation / Commercial, Nonfiction » Transportation » Aviation / History
The instrument panels of pre-jet era 1950s aircraft are intricate and awe inspiring, especially for one who is unfamiliar with the technicalities of piloting. A lack of reaction time to correct the path of the DC-B7 is key to why the plane crashed. The Eastern propeller plane made a corrective maneuver that was replicated by the incoming Pan Am jet. It was what happened next that led to tragedy.

My ebook looks at theories of Amelia Earhart's July 2, 1937 disappearance. The narrative focuses on Saipan as the probable location of where Earhart's Lockheed Model 10E airplane crashed. Among the people profiled in my book is an eyewitness who saw what she believes to be Amelia Earhart's aircraft as it crashed into a Japanese military zone on Saipan. The witness is still alive in California.
