So many people have commented on how prescient this short story was. Although this allegory was written several years ago, it accurately predicted (in my opinion and that of others) the current American political situation. Hopefully, it also adds some insight. Thank you in advance for not revealing the last line of this story, so the story's ending will be more enjoyable for the next reader.
