Christmas of Tin
by Connie Boje
The focus is the Southwest where snakes and storms and desert lands have strange passions. There are 50 poems. In New Mexico they have luminarias at Christmas time which is what the title refers to except normally they are made out of paper bags, sand and a lit candle. They burn mesquite in a fireplace when allowed. Visitors buy silver and turquoise jewelry at the market downtown. Please visit!
