Forty years ago Millard Fuller and his wife Linda left behind their materialistic lifestyle and crumbling marriage to start over as missionaries in Zaire. On returning to Georgia, they founded Habitat for Humanity—as their Christian ministry, started building houses for the poverty-stricken. Fired by the International Board in 2005, they immediately founded The Fuller Center for Housing.
