The Walk to "I Do"
by Sheila Holmes
It's said a drowning person relives memories of their entire life in those seconds preceding eternity. I don't know if that's true, because I've never been at death's door. But, what I do know is that in the minutes it took me to pass through the double barn doors and walk to the welcoming smile of my groom, I re-lived the nineteen months we'd known each other. Run? Or stay and vow, "I Do"?
