Rows (A Flash Fiction Story)
by Chuck Grossart
Meagan Fischer wakes from the accident bloodied, disoriented, and alone. She remembers tires squealing, the Chevy's slow-motion cartwheel into the late summer tasseled corn, and the sickening crunch of failing steel.
As her senses return, she recalls one other thing quite clearly...the eerie figure they swerved to avoid. And she feels it lurking now, among the rows.
