A wealthy Roman, Giorgio Scarlatti's career spanned the 1950s. His sports car career began in '50 and by late he was racing Formula 1 cars. Despite successful results with Maserati in 1957 the Italian car maker opted to get out of racing after the season. Giorgio also drove an Alfa Romeo and various F1 autos fielded by Scuderia Centro Sud. He and Lorenzo Bandini won a key race at Pescara in 1961.

Andrea de Cesaris had a lengthy Formula 1 race career and also drove sports cars in endurance races. Paco Godia was a works Maserati driver and later entered private Maseratis when the factory broke ties with him. Godia was not a major player in Grand Prix racing, entering his first race, the '51 Spanish Grand Prix and his last, the 1958 French Grand Prix at Reims, within a span of seven seasons. Godia also raced sports cars until '68. Among his best finishes was a 4th at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Henry Taylor raced Ford Cortinas after he stopped Grand Prix racing in the early 1960s. The Ford Cortina was a quentisential British car that appeared in rallys and meets like Goodwood and Silverstone. Pleurisy ended his life at his home in the south of France following years of decline. Taylor's greatest contribution to racing in my opinion was his versatility as a racer and business executive.

Sergio Mantovani had a bright future in Grand Prix racing it was thought in the mid-1950s. Then circumstances and fate intervened and Mantovani's career ended abruptly the same season he began to race Formula 1 cars. He was part of a contingent of fine Italian drivers who were extended contracts by Maserati in 1953. Among the others was Luigi Musso who was later killed at a very young age.
