Now it was pitch dark, and the falling snow was becoming deeper as the wind swept it into large drifts beside the road. Kendra wonder if there were a farmhouse near that there may be someone home to help her. Her throbbing hands hung limply from her broken wrists but she barely felt the pain. Tears were freezing on her face as fast as they rolled down her cheeks.
