Slaughter's First Case
by William C. Morley
A stubborn and irascible commercial fisherman turns up dead while fishing 100 miles from the shore; the police call it an accident but it looks like suicide.
The man’s wife, though, knows it’s murder. She knows just the person to find the murderer: her insurance agent, a man she dated one time in high school. Armed with a secret he hasn’t told anyone, she convinces him to come to her aid.
