In AD 132, the Jewish leader, Simon bar Kokhba brought the Roman legions in the province of Iudaea to their knees. The Emperor Hadrian called legions from across the Empire to quell the revolt.
This is the story of Marcus Fidelis Coranus, a cavalry officer, who travels from Britannia across the Roman world to Iudaea where he is then forced to weigh his very survival against his cherished ideals.
