This book continues the history of Soviet aviation dealing specifically with the aero-engine industry. Indigenous piston-engines designs served the Red Air Force well in WW II powering its fighters and Sthurmoviks. THe country did venture into the jet age with an WW II indigenous design but it was mainly developments of German and British designs that excelled and the massive 'Bear' turbo-props.
