When 14-year old Lucius Junius Brutus swims the Tiber River he counts on King Tarquin making him a warrior in the Etruscan army of Rome. Instead, Lucius' father sends Lucius to guard the dusty scrolls of Rome's legendary lawgiver, Numa Pompilius. Lucius soon finds that the scrolls contain untold power. If Lucius masters the grammar of the scrolls, he will rule the world. But is that best for Rome?
