Exercising Ourselves to Death
by Dara Behroozi
Over 500,000 runners completed a marathon in the US last year, and twice that many outside the US. However, the scientific evidence that I will be presenting in this book, in lay terms, will explain clearly how extreme exercise may be damaging our health and even reducing our lifespan. The first marathon was run by Pheidippides, who ran the 26.2 miles from Marathon to Sparta and died afterwards.
