The Angle
By Liam Barnes
Price: $2.49 USD. Words: 56,240. Language: English. Published: June 16, 2013. Category: Fiction
A devastating depiction of the isolation, entitlement, myopia and unprofitable pursuits plaguing the press, from its lowest unpaid roots to the hack kings of the column, The Angle examines the perilous place of news in the digital age, mixing biting humour with jaundiced yellow journalism in a colourful catalogue of a young man’s decline from eager cub reporter to long-in-the-tooth newshounds.
Sand City Murders
By MK Alexander
Price: $9.99 USD. Words: 160,450. Language: American English. Published: September 4, 2013. Category: Fiction
A sumer resort town, a failing newspaper, a time-traveling detective named Tractus Fynn, and murder of course. Admittedly DCI Tractus Fynn is not very good at time travel, but he's quite proficient deduction and "fixing" crimes. Sorry, this book does not pander to the lowest common denominator and it's aimed at people who love mysteries, can think, and have a sense of humor!
