The sun was at high noon and, more than just merely hot, it burned right through their clothes, sapping the very strength out of them. Creed heard a scraping sound off to the right and instinctively shoved the two indefensible women behind a large red rock. He crouched at the same time, his gun drawn and ready for battle. The two bandits began shooting, and Creed fired off quick shots at the pair.
