Ladies of the Dance
by May Mansoor Munn
Prior to the Six-Day War in 1967, Alya Habeeb, a Muslim-Christian teacher, and the radio personality Majed Alami, dance with international friends in the Semiramis Hotel courtyard, ignoring the pending conflict.
