Celebrate the 1929 Chicago Cubs, one of the most exciting teams in baseball history. Future Hall of Famers Hack Wilson, ’29 NL MVP Rogers Hornsby, and Kiki Cuyler, along with Riggs Stephenson formed one of the most potent quartets in baseball history. The magical season came to an ignominious end in the World Series and helped craft the future "lovable loser" image of the team.
Tom Poorman Of The Philadelphia Athletics

My ebook looks at a versatile and little known major league baseball player of the pre-modern era (before 1903). I have empasized the family heritage of Tom Poorman, as well as his baseball career. Poorman played in the late 19th century, a time when games often ended in ties because of darkness. I hope that my research will create more interest in the history of baseball's early players.
