The Princess Test
by Lisa Anne Nisula
The Gold Fairy told Prince Irwin's parents that they should look for sensitivity in his future bride, so they devise a test- a dried pea placed beneath twenty mattresses. So far, every princess has failed, and Irwin has always been relieved, until the night of the storm and Princess Almira. But how can a girl who survived a storm at sea pass a test the most fussy of princesses couldn't?
