The Church of the Comic Spirit
by Paul Enns Wiebe
A lecherous fraud appears on a talk show claiming to have had revelations telling him to start a church based on 12 Bible stories, which are retold in the comic vein. Each has its own plot, style, genre, and brand of comedy (wit, satire, parody, sex farce) featuring schemers, rogues, buffoons, fools, and schlemiels. God is often the comic hero, though his character changes from story to story.
