The Monolith - A Short Story
by Darren Camp
One morning it simply appeared out of nowhere, right in the middle of Seattle's Lake Union. The problem was, nobody knew where the massive 300-foot wide, 1,200-foot tall, 200-ton Monolith had come from. Or who had put it there. Or how it had gotten there without anybody realizing it. They just knew the mysterious pitch-black object of unknown origin and composition was now there, like it or not.
