Billy Straw returns from Vietnam a broken man. He gets involved with criminals and anti-war radicals. He can’t keep a job or keep a relationship. His high ideals to serve God and country got corrupted amid the chaos of war. Ghosts of war haunt him. His only family, an elderly aunt, gives him a home and unconditional love. Mentally unstable, he returns to crime and faces a struggle to the death.
