Donetta Marie grew up in Paradise, a small town in Northern California, in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. You may know it as the Campfire that destroyed 90% of the town from a wildfire caused by PG&Es faulty powerlines. She currently reside in Washington, DC. She graduated with Honors from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education in Social Studies. Her main passion of studies is anything related to Geography.
When Donetta is not writing, she loves to read, watch movies, swim, shop at framers markets, and travel (including a book in one hand and rum drink in the other). And she enjoys good food, coffee, wine, conversation with close friends, and snuggling next to someone special by a warm fire.

Fire Within is a must read! This story is beautifully written and I was sucked in immediately. I couldn't put the book down! Ben and Lily's relationship is tested time and again as they learn to trust each other. Lily's struggle to accept help rubs against her strong independence she so desperately wants to keep. But with a violent stalker on her heels wanting to harm her, she reluctantly welcomes Ben's help. It's within Ben's arms she feels the safest. Ben is an alpha through and through and learns to compromise as his relationship with Lily grows. He will stop at nothing to keep Lily safe from harm, but demands submission in his bedroom. The intimate scenes are hot, steamy, and titillating. I was on the edge of my seat as I was pulled into the suspense as the danger toward Lily grows. I cannot wait to read the second book!
This story gives new meaning to the term “torrid” love affair. The steamy relationship between Lily, an interior decorator with a mind of her own, and Ben, a former Navy SEAL who was born into a lineage of extremely wealthy entrepreneurs, is tested over and over again and will keep you spellbound. Add to that mix an unbalanced psycho whose advances Lily rejected years ago, and you have all the makings of a true erotic thriller. The author has done an incredible job of creating a superb plot with characters who are believable. This sexy novel has it all: romance, drama, suspense, intrigue, and corruption. This “adults only” book—the first in a trilogy detailing the relationship between Ben and Lily—is one that you will not want to miss! I can’t wait to read the next one as their relationship continues to unfold. Totally mesmerizing! Five stars!!!
