About Fiona McGier

I write contemporary erotic romance novels. Contemporary because having sex without birth control is a scary thought. Erotic, because I love to read books with sex scenes in them, so I write them too. And romance because the drive to pair up is a most basic human need, but the ways it can happen are endlessly fascinating.

I write contemporary erotic romance novels about strong, independent women who are busy living their lives. When they meet equally strong, independent men, the sparks fly! Sooner or later one or both of them realize they are meant to be together for the long-term, and the "dance of love" moves to a whole new level of seriousness. I write happily-ever-after endings, because I really believe they are possible...not easy, but achievable. And I write hot scenes between the heroine and hero because that's the way they tell me their stories in my head!

Reviews of Undercover Lovers by Fiona McGier

UNDERCOVER LOVERS is the second book in the FEMALE SECRET AGENT series and I was not disappointed. It was nice to meet up with some of the characters we met in the first book, SECRET LOVER, but also get to know new ones and see just how forceful they are. It was great to see how their lives have progressed.

Ameena and Adam have chemistry that is off the charts but Tomas sulks because he wants her and makes sure she knows it and she chooses Adam who is much shyer, or is he? They are her bodyguards when there's a threat to her life even though she's no longer an agent. It was nice to see them all in action along with their handler, Malcolm, doing what they do best and seeing the damage they can do - even if they were unsanctioned missions. There are situations to neutralize, bad guys, weapons, combat, planning, bargains made, injuries, deaths, lots of loving and love. There are wonderful descriptions that made me feel like I was there. The story has a nice flow to it and some closure. There's a better than expected happily ever after but some loose ends too. I hope we get to see these female secret agents in action again!

Ms. McGier is an author whose contemporary romances I enjoy even if they are a little out of my comfort zone with their steaminess. I look forward to reading more of her books.

The second book in Ms. McGier's "Female Secret Agents" series, "Undercover Lovers" is darker, more complicated, and more intense than "Secret Lover", while maintaining the glamour, sexiness, and fun of the series. The central element of this book is a love triangle between three spies: Ameena, who retired from the agency after she nearly died completing a deeply personal final mission, and the two men who desire her. Adam is a quiet, deep soul who works on the technical side of missions, with bad-boy good looks and a penchant for leather jackets and tight jeans. Tomas is a smooth, sexy, super-confident seduction expert, the same role Ameena filled when she worked at the agency. Ameena must choose, and then fight for, the man of her dreams in two back-to-back, equally intense spy stories that compliment one another and set the stage for some of Ms. McGier's hottest and most creative sex scenes so far. As with McGier's other books, this story is driven by the characters, which makes both the sex and the action more intense. And for readers of the first book - yes, Malcolm, the super cool Irish Black gay spy handler is back for the second round, doing his best to steal every scene he's in. To say that this book delivers both as a spy book and as a super-hot erotic romance would be a huge understatement - I absolutely love all of the characters, and I couldn't put the book down once I started! Ms. McGier's books continue to be the gold standard in genre-bending erotica.
