Aidan At Manassas follows the journey of Aidan Whitehand prior to the first battle of Manassas,during the battle and after. He is ordered by General Jackson to find Union shirkers. He travels to Augusta to meet family. Aidan and his company journey to the Shenandoah and fight at the unnamed hill. The final chapters describe the battle at the bridge. More

About Martin Harlick

I was born in Portsmouth, England. My father was a Newfoundlander who served in the Royal Navy from 1939 to 1960. His final tour was as a CPO on the HMS Tiger. Mom was born in England. We left for Canada in 1961 and settled in Toronto. I attended an all boys Jesuit High School, Brebeuf. I moved to St. Johns Newfoundland and attended Memorial University and graduated with a degree in History and Religious Studies. I returned to Ontario and settled in South Western Ontario with my partner Emily of 45 years. We have two children and three grand children. I have been self employed most of my working life.
