Lily has written a powerful book. She was brutalized first by family and friends of family, and then the Catholic Church did it's best to try to destroy her for the rest of her youth. A true story that will bring you to tears more than once. It takes a special person to put their pain out there for others to see. I appreciate Lily doing that and her partner for helping her do it. More than a worthwhile read. I couldn't stop reading the book. I forced myself to take a break to sleep last night but I finished reading it this morning as soon as I got up. True, gripping, horrifying, and so very real.
