About R. Cooper

I'm a somewhat absentminded, often distracted, writer of queer romance. I'm probably most known for the Being(s) in Love series and the occasional story about witches or firefighters in love. Also known as, "Ah, yes, the one with the dragons."

I love ALL of R. Cooper's books, no exceptions. Her stories, world-building, and character development are beautifully written, fascinating and complex, though at first glance they may seem simple. Sometimes it feels like I'm reaching out to grab a single strand and soon find myself inside a beautifully spun web. I highly recommend anything written by this talented author.

This tale opens in the middle of a friendship, and in the middle of a curse. Through conversation, we expand on the personalities of Mel and Scarlett, and learn how Mel got cursed. It's very understated and really captures the intimacy of individuals who have known each other for a long time without overtly discussing most personal matters. It ended a little abruptly -- I would have liked another pge of coziness. And I totally want to inherit Mel's house and library.
