Valyk has created the perfect spot—a smooth black rock surrounded by deep water and covered over with sand. He likes to swim up to the surface, watch the sun set, and touch himself. Short, hot, and very, very sexy. I loved Valyk's perspective and his interpretations of human things, which is often very funny. Oliver is delightful, too, simultaneously a bit fey and yet uncomplicatedly earthy when it comes to the new merman in his life. I'd love to read more of their lives together, if the author feels the muse!

A deliciously funny and incredibly sensual short story with a refreshingly original take on inter-species sex. I was immediately charmed by Valyk and Oliver: both of them are fleshed-out characters with an intense chemistry; I didn't expect to be so taken by feels while reading erotica, but here we are. I really appreciated the enthusiastic consent from both parties. I also enjoyed how we see the story from Valyk's point of view, who's intrigued by human biology. His observations and the dialogue made me chuckle out loud at several points, but the humour never ruined the mood: sex can be fun and hot at the same time. I'm looking forward to read more by the author!
