About Rilbur Skryler

An avid reader from a young age, I started branching out into writing years ago. I started with several rather ambitious stories that were probably doomed to failure to begin with, above and beyond the personal circumstances that lead to me abandoning writing for years.

Due to a chance overheard conversation while on the bus from school, an idea took root and I suddenly had the urge to write again. From there, my work has only grown -- and the future continues to look bright.

Currently, I'm getting back into the 'swing' of writing after a long break. After graduating college, I spent a long time as a programmer looking for a job, and in my case, depression and writing don't mix well.

This is one of the best of Smashwords offerings of eBook Science Fiction and one of the worst examples of using a spell checker. Skyler must feel that leaving in all the spell checker errors was "good enough" but it really detracts from the flow. Is it too much to ask that one human read it to correct major errors?

Jim is spot on. One of the best action flicks I've read in a long time, and deep enough that it allows you to think about the human condition.
Spoilers: Great AI integration to human as well singularity here we come.

In general I am a Hard Sci-Fi kind of guy. I like space ships, aliens, fighting with lasers, the usual. This book has all that and more. The story is well written, has plenty of twists and turns (though a few opportunities were missed), courage, patriotism, and a love “angle”.

The author takes his time in creating a believable, for the most part, story, where science has taken a front seat, but human intrigue and desires are not left out. I can’t say too much, so as not to spoil the story for others, but I am betting most of you will enjoy the book, be surprised a few times, and put the book down with a smile. I will surely be looking forward to reading other books by Mr. Skryler!

Just one note, though this is a self published book, another pass through for misspelled/misused words (like went instead of when) is in order.
