Twelve Maxbridge Street

Adult Erotica
Rated 5.00/5 based on 4 reviews
A young straight executive signs up for a night of pain and sexual humiliation at the hands of the men and women of The Association. He experiences what was promised and more. This book has been called "old school" and "in the vein of French Erotica." If you think this might appeal, you may enjoy this highly explicit short story.

About M. H. Keplar

I've written two books. Both are records of fantasies as contrasted with a book authored to appeal to a particular market. I didn't expect to write another one, but a few months after the publication of Twelve Maxbridge Street, I experienced two more fantasies that I published together as Naked and The Recurrence. Please read the Afterward of Twelve Maxbridge Street for the rather unusual details of the genesis of the first book.

I find that I make changes now and then. If you like the book, you might download it again before re-reading.

This is a terrific story! It's a little unlike anything I've read before, but I'm afraid I can't articulate why. I look forward to finding more of Keplar's writing. Highly recommended!

Magnificently themed

Keplar pens a short but very interesting and intense BDSM story in Twelve Maxbridge Street. I have read work from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. It is definitely for adults, and even more, those who definitely have an open mind not just to erotica but to BDSM. I am familiar with the BDSM lifestyle, so I felt this story was well detailed, and also well-written. A short story is not easy to write, and this left nothing out in the story. John attends The Association building, and that's just where his story begins. "Bondage. Punishment. The muscles between his legs contracted again. Ever since he’d begun the process of signing up for The Association, his body had begun to give him these pleasant little gifts." And that's all I'm giving away for this story. It's accurate and indeed an intense and yet, powerful read. This is a magnificent story, kept this reader turning the pages. If you love a good erotic BDSM story, this book should be next on your list. Twelve Maxbridge Street is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author.

This is a more classic style of Erotica writing, in the vein of French Erotica like The Story of O. It isn't filled with tropes and doesn't hold your hand, but takes the French approach of saying more with less. I really liked the concept behind the club and the mature perspective on masochism (including the fact that a person's masochistic tendencies may wax and wane in life).

A side bonus- there is some very good humor! The side characters are very vivid as well, and I could easily picture them in my mind.

I'd recommend this to people who love the classics, and those who are interested in exploring masochism with hetero men.

Terrific! Not a lot of extraneous plot, but a vivid central character nevertheless. The abused and abuser are not chums. Otherwise it reminds me of some of Anne Rice/Rampling/Roquelaure's stuff (no vampires) but from the male perspective.  Not for everyone, but a definite must read for those it appeals to. Definitely BDSM.
