Enjoyed every chapter of this book. From the outset a mystery is discovered that keeps the reader hooked until all is explained.
A story from history merges with the present in an exciting and clever way, which has the reader guessing how they will eventually come together.

Brilliant!

A clever novel that moves along nicely down parallel paths. Good attention to detail with many "must read the next page" moments. For a first novel the author has chosen a tricky "twin story" genre but has pulled it off with some aplomb. I've just purchased The Voice and looking forward to another good read.

A mesmerizing prose, which drew me irrevocably into the two entangled and yet separate stories. Riveting. Move over Anne Tyler. (Ferdie Wolinski)

An interesting mystery/thriller with two stories, past and present, developing simultaneously. Realistically set in post-war Europe and modern Australia, it held my attention and effortlessly drew me on from one chapter to the next. Well worth the modest price.
