About L.K. Campbell

As both a reader and a writer, I'm a lifelong lover of the written word. I started my writing career as a newspaper columnist for my hometown daily newspaper where I worked from 1986-2007. When I began writing fiction, I chose the genre I enjoyed reading—romance. To date, my books cover a variety of genres: World War II romance, contemporary romance, romantic suspense, historical mystery, and the supernatural.

I,m off an age that I grew up reading many westerns and became disenchanted with the one dimensional nature of most westerns. This author has captured nor only the fact that the west was on the cusp of a modern age of Victorian values but also the flavor of domestic life. growing up in the 50s many households still had the detached laundry/boiler and bathroom with mesh walled "meat safe" predating refrigerators and other appliances. Clothes had to be card fro without dry cleaners and modern fabrics. The author captures the domestics making one fell present in the story. well done.
