About Alyssa Kress

Alyssa Kress completed her first novel at the age of six, an unlikely romance between a lion and the jackal who wants to steal his meal. Despite earning two degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and spending nearly a decade in the construction industry, she's yet to see her feet stay firmly on the ground. She now lives in Southern California, three miles from where she first committed pen to paper, together with her husband and two children.

Dean and Kelly's story was fine. I didn't like that troy's story was also added in between. It made reading the book less exciting for me, very anticlimactic.

Love! Great premise involving a quickie marriage between a stoic businessman and a warm-hearted, spunky LV dancer--a marriage the businessman can't remember b/c he wed while hypnotized.

Ultimately we know this is a HEA story, but the couple (Dean and Kelly) doesn't know it until the very end--a great thing for this genre and keeps you reading and rooting for them. Kelly holds out hope "her" Dean will surface and plots ways to bring out the tender pussycat she fell in love with and married. In actuality, she falls even deeper in love with the non-hypnotized Dean--if only he can let go of the control freak hard-a$$ side of himself long enough to own up and admit his feelings for Kelly.

A very solid, fun romance I've recommended to friends. Will definitely read more by this author.

A bit of a stretch thoroughly entertaining, except for the extra couple. I did not care for Troy or Felicia's characters, they were an intrusion in the read as a bothersome fly.

I picked this book up last July, way outside my comfort zone, and I loved it unreservedly. Neatly overcoming my commonest objections to romance with a tarnished female lead set on winning a man who is actually worth winning, and an ingenious impediment to her success that is both genuine (if unlikely) and genuinely overcome without once making me shout ‘just bloody talk to one another’ at the screen (I am not a romance reader), this might be light but it’s completely engaging, and I’m not ashamed to give it five stars for excellence of its type.

Loved this storyline! thoroughly enjoyed it, got really involved in the story. I do agree that the cover does not do this book any justice AT ALL and the Troy storyline was really annoying cause it kept coming in at peak moments in Dean and Kelly's relationship had to skip over it.
