About Maxine Flam

Maxine Flam has been a guest columnist for the Los Angeles Daily News since 1999 writing about issues that affects primarily the Veterans of America. She has also been published on www.veteranstoday.com.

She has an Associates of Arts Degree from Los Angeles Valley College and was on the Los Angeles Valley College and California State University Northridge Speech Teams winning numerous trophies and awards for her speeches.

Maxine has been involved with veteran organizations since her father’s death in 1995. She is on the Board of Directors of “Veterans for Constitutional Law Ltd.” and formerly on the Board of Directors of “The Veterans Advisory Board. She is a member of the Firebase Network and an Associate Member of the 5th Armored Division. Maxine has been an outspoken veteran’s rights advocate on television, radio and in newspaper editorials.

Unglorious War is her first novel. Unglorious War was nominated for a 2011 Global E-Book Award in the Romance Fiction Category. Maxine is currently writing a sequel to Unglorious War, the screenplay to Unglorious War and writing a western romance novel which is yet untitled.

Very well written. The feelings expressed mirror those of the people that were stateside during the war as well as those that were in country.

As a Christain and Vietnam Veteran, I found this book worth reading. It was well written and from a viewpoint from someone who was there. I suggest this book to any Veteran.
