Saturday Santa -Not Your Ordinary Christmas Story

At a time of year intended for the best stories, Saturday Santa does it all. I thoroughly enjoyed this 3rd book in The Canyon Club series. Christmas vibe tangles with instant attraction and sexual tension between Jack and Mari. Jack, bent on destroying a past enemy, has no interest in Christmas, or relationships until watching from his fortress-like beach house, he becomes intent on connecting with a woman who accompanies a feeble old man along the strand walkway every day. Arranging an accidental meeting with Mari- who is the epitome of all things Christmas, a season Jack has abandoned, sparks fly from the onset. Yet despite the extreme differences in their lifestyles and personalities, Jack is compelled to see her again, and again; Mari, in a similar fashion, is conflicted by her feelings, and Jack's strange behavior. Alas, falling in love is easy; making love work, not so much, and any relationship between the two is continually complicated by a really bad dude, and Jack’s secrets. Great dialogue and wonderful images move the story quickly. Add in mystery, suspense, and the friction between Mari and Jack, and presto—we get a story of love prevailing over evil, and the happily ever after we all hope for.
