About Pamela R. Young

Pamela R. Young taught inner city kids for five years, periodically re-visiting The University of Texas in Austin to learn more about how to work with the delicious diversity of culture and learning styles she encountered in those public school classrooms. She got her PhD from that school and was a professor for the next twenty years, helping students discover and achieve their goals. After a two-year walkabout--stretching her perspective and learning from Indian shamans, Mind-Body therapists, and Yogis--she tossed the mortarboard and became a Holistic Health Practitioner, helping clients to achieve their goals regarding mind, body, and spirit. In a celebration of her spiritual path (which was greatly enhanced when she finally quit smoking) she now writes with the same intentions as Pam Young, P.R.Young, or Dr. Pam Young depending on the genre-- non-fiction, academic non-fiction, or fiction. She does NOT write romance. You can follow her blog, SkatingThru2012.com, or follow her on Twitter: http://twitter.com/DrPamYoung.
