This book has so much going on you'd think it could be overwhelming but guess what its just that good. The flow helps the story and characters. I was hooked and the writing style is right up my alley. I truly enjoyed reading it but what else should I have expected from a Russell Brooks book. I loved how that characters played out and the story was intense.

Once I downloaded Chill Run and started reading it, I did not want to put it down. There are so many twists and turns that kept me wondering what was going to happen next. I was given this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion and to be very frank I was extremely impressed. I don't know what exactly I was expecting but I like books that are easy to get into and this is exactly that. It was a book that had me hooked from the beginning. The characters are intriguing and very different from any that I've seen in any other books and I read a lot.
If it's anywhere near as good as Chill Run, I can't wait to see what The Demeter Code has in store!

CHILL RUN by Russell Brooks
Another action packed book from Russell Brooks that moves at a cinematic pace intermingled with descriptive suspense treats here and there. From the first page I was blown away and had my blood temperature chilled, which is not a surprise after all the book is entitled Chill Run.
The story opens with Eddie Barrow Jr, an under achieving writer, is lying down on some hard wooden floor, with blood oozing from a bullet wound on his shoulder. His arms and legs are numb and he doesn’t remember how it came to be. With the agony in the pain and more, Eddie draws from his spiritual source and calls on his God for closure. This made me question myself about my faith. Would I be calling on some greater power should I find myself cast in such a reality? The more I wondered and pondered about this, I read on, submerging myself into deeper pools with more thriller dosages.
As I read on, within the faculties of my mind: I found myself writing some poetic lines in support of the character:
"I am Eddie
I may be struggling as a writer
But I shall pick my pieces up
I got the pain and all
My time is not now..."
Anywhere you get my point, I was so touched by the character and the great story line. Anywhere to sum up, this is a book for those who roam over and about, the real action seekers. I can see this book being made into a movie.
