Book 1: Lucy gives it up for the boss
Lucy gets called into the boss's office after an indescretion at a memorial service the previous day. She is expecting to get the sack, but gets something altogether different. She is still stunned and confused by this brief, but pleasurable, liaison when her boss tells her that they will reconvene their meeting next Monday. She can't wait.
Book 2: Lucy gives it up for the twins
Unemployed now, Lucy decides to blow her redundancy money on a holiday. She manages to get a bargain after 'consoling' the guy in the travel agency who has just been dumped by his girlfriend. While sunbathing by the swimming pool she sees a drop dead gorgeous guy. She is encouraged by his smile. But when she bumps into him again later he seems cold and remote. Who is this Jekyll and Hyde character? The truth cums as quite a shock. A double shock - when she gives it up for the twins.
Book 3: Lucy gives it up for the teacher
The holiday is now a distant memory. Broke and unemployed, Lucy thought that things couldn't get any worse. When she is thrown out of her flat, she realises she was wrong. Homeless, she has to persuade her mum to allow her to move back in until she can find somewhere else to live. Much to Lucy's surprise, her mum welcomes her home. Lucy soon realises that her mum's personality change owes much to the new man in her mum's life. When she accidentally walks in on them having sex - she can see why. Lucy manages to find work in the bar at a local hotel. Trade is slow and the evenings drag until a face from her past appears. Mr Drake, Lucy's Maths teacher from her senior school, calls in for a quick drink. She used to fancy him when she was at school - she still does - and now she can do something about it!
Book 4: Lucy gives it up for her mum's boyfriend
Lucy is back in telesales. With money in her pocket, she decides to look for a new flat. The estate agent shows her his own fixtures and fittings. Lucy and Alison have a night out and meet a couple of young guys. The four of them hit it off in a big way. Lucy was sure her mum's boyfriend wasn't interested in her. But when he waits for her coming out of the shower, and leads her into the bedroom, she thinks she may have been wrong. She hopes so!
