In June 1944, the Allies, in the largest amphibious military invasion in history, landed on the beaches of Normandy. The Germans knew they were coming. They knew exactly when, and some suspected where, and if their total defence forces had been prepared, the outcome might have been different. But they weren`t all prepared. Some had been stood down or sent another way. It was rumoured at the time that an Allied agent was responsible for this deception. This is the story of that agent.
