About Ian Hutton

Dear Readers,
When I was 12, I took judo lessons. Mr. Sam Nishi
was powerful; wise. He almost broke my arm; stopping
just before 'we' knew it would crack:
"... to teach you not to fear pain." (thanks)

He taught me balance, nutrition and respect for women:
"They are smarter and stronger than us."
He told me that a person, without imagination, is poor.

To me, my characters are wondrous and forever taking chances.
Toad hops around the land, in full Toad grace, saying things like:
“I have to be my own judge because nobody else understands me!”
I received this note recently:
“Mr. Hutton, today I read 2 of your stories - I think your mind is a work of art!
Thank you for injecting a bit of joy into my day." C. Fairbanks.

The 2nd Edition of 'Frog and Toad...' is available, you can almost hold it
at the link below :)

I'm glad you like my stories.

Review by: Anne Macdonald on April 26, 2012 :
This dreamlike account isn't 'wooden' at all--it rocks out as pure flight of fancy. A joyful imaginative voyage for those of us who tend to take life too seriously. Nice rhythmic prose to remind us of the watery seas we're all familiar with.
