I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO, and survived in spite of what life dealt me. I was a civil service employee at HQ NORAD for 37 years. My life has never been dull or normal; people always told me, "You need to write a book," and so I did.

So many years of fun, work and skiing.......If it weren't for Carol, I would never have even tried to ski, but it was great and I went skiing with her and many more for a lot of years.....Carol is a true friend and loves life, she has been dealt some severe blows in her life, but came through them with grace. She is a keeper. Her book is so Carol. She always had a good sense of humor, and it came through no matter what was going on, she could always put a smile on everyones face,.....I know all these characters in her book, and SHE is the one that put others first over her own future of happiness with Jack......her love of pets is her greatest hope for animals to be treated good and have long lives.......BRAVO, CAROL, YOU ARE INDEED A GREAT HUMAN BEING AND DESERVE THE BEST, May God Bless you always. Your good friend for over 30 years, Karen Mangold

I just finished your book, I cried, your words were just so heart-felt and so well written. You really have been through the wringer but as the saying goes, “Adversity is the prosperity of the great. Kites rise against, not with, the wind.” Love you, Lady, and God bless your great big heart!

Stayed up way too late one night reading your book, Carol. You didn't let heartbreak turn you into a bitter person. Instead you have let me and your other readers journey with you, laughing and crying and trying to see others with compassion and love as you have. Thank you for letting me peek into your heart.

When you showed every emotion to the fullest, I felt it. Your compassion and love shined through. Your Blessings and struggles were heartfelt.

You have a powerful testimony. "Wait with expectancy for God's Blessings and the desires of your Heart". Joel"
