About Nicola Rhodes

About the Author
Nicola Rhodes often can’t remember where she lives so she lives inside her own head most of the time, where even if you do get lost, it’s still okay.
She has met many interesting people inside her own head and eventually decided to introduce them to the rest of the world, in the hopes that they would stop bothering her and let her sleep.
She has been doing this for ten years now but they still won’t leave her alone.

She wrote this book for fun and does not care if you take away a moral lesson from it or not.

You have her full permission to read whatever you wish into this work of fiction. As she says herself:
“Just because I wrote this book, doesn’t mean I know anything about it.”

Fun, breezy, and refreshing.
I love the wry jabs at mythologies, and the characters.

Tamar is back, and she is not alone! There is a rogue's gallery to assist, waylay, harass, confuse, confound, guide and stalk her. There are vampires who act like vampires should, and who DON'T sparkle, which is refreshing! The book is fast paced, with clever dialogue and Tamar's trademark sarcasm, and some very enjoyable characters. I read it in a day, as I couldn't put it down. The really good news? There are more in the series! Nicola Rhodes never disappoints!

Reality Bites is another trip into the bitingly humorous world of Tamar Black. She of the lightning wit and sharp tongue is once again thrust into toil and troubles aplenty, but she has help-sort of. You will most certainly enjoy this latest excursion into a world teeming with likeable monsters, "soft-on-the-inside" hard-bitten cops, ditzy witches, overly sarcastic vampires, and un-heroic heroes! The entire crowd reminds one of a paranormal version of "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World"-there's even a treasure hunt, of sorts. Highly entertaining and laugh out loud funny, you'll find yourself still chuckling hours after reading it. Five stars all the way.

Five stars to Nicola Rhodes again.
A worthy sequel, proving Nicola Rhodes to be “no one hit wonder” and Tamar and Denny to have a lot more mileage in them yet.

I love the humour, and the way the book does not address the cliffhanger at the end of Djinnx’d till the very end, keeping you hanging on even longer. Very cleverly done.

The new characters are welcome and fit in perfectly. I liked them just as much as the main characters from Djinnx’d. She certainly knows how to write “people”

As before the book unfolds before you like a movie, drawing you in and placing the action before your very eyes.

This would actually make a great movie. I’d go and see it
