Rated 4.00/5 based on 1 reviews
Arcadian the Journeyman Adjudicator is called to the town of Garrott Fair to decide the fate of a man already condemned by public opinion. The law is perfect, but people are not. Arcadian has a difficult time deciding what to do, but will it ultimately matter? Can laws really determine a man's fate? For that matter, what is the law if none abide by it?

Review by: Shannon Glenn on March 26, 2010 :
The writing is top notch. The imagery is good. The dialog felt natural. I felt transported, in large part due to the foreign objects and names, but they blended seamlessly into the story. The pace was very good. I wanted to know what was going to happen next! I also became very interested in the central character, which is impressive in such a short story. My only complaint is that the end came abruptly, gave little closure, and felt disconnected from the rest of the story. I intend to read more from this author!
