Steph Bennion is a writer, Westminster civil servant and occasional musician, born and bred in the Black Country but now living in South London, England. Her science-fiction stories are written as a reaction to the dearth of alternative heroes amidst bookshelves swamped by tales of the supernatural. For every aspiring vampire or wizard, the world needs an astrophysicist, an engineer, or at the very least someone who can make the trains run on time. PAW-PRINTS OF THE GODS, the follow-up to her debut novel HOLLOW MOON, was published in 2013.

I am not the audience for this book, I tried byt stopped about 25% of the way in. An very original retelling of Cinderella, but the setting was too unfamiliar to me, I was not able to relate to it,so felt lost.

A future version of a classic fairy tale. Very well written and easy to read, but even though the story is familiar there are many interesting twists and turns that will bring a smile to your face.
The only minor criticism that I could make is that, for me, it ended a little too quickly - I would have liked an expanded ending.
I will certainly look forward to reading more of the authors stories - and possibly using a similar basis - more future fairy stories.
